This rich needlepoint design by Animal Fayre designs was inspired by the Book of Kells, one of the world’s most beautifully illuminated manuscripts dating from 800AD. The Eagle represents the Evangelist, St John. The design can be sewn as a square or a circle. Worked in Victorian cross-stitch on 10hpi canvas, the finished piece will measure 11″x11″, 28x28cm and can be stitched as a square (as shown) or as a circle.
