Appleton Shade Card

Appleton wools come in 2 types: Crewel (2ply) and Tapestry (4ply). They also come in 3 sizes: Skeins (10 yards), Hanks (equivalent to 6 skeins) and bundles (20 hanks). This on-line shade card is useful as a guide, but be aware your screen settings will effect the exact shade you see. As a result you may wish to buy a shade card to keep. As a result the 3rd colour in the Purple range would be given as 103.
