| Description: | This is a blue version of Beth's Brown Compton rug, which was taken from a wallpaper and fabric designed by Henry Dearle in 1896 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton. Dearle's designs have often been mistaken for Morris' - they worked closely together for yeas and he took over the running of Morris and Co on William Morris' death. There is a cushion and miniature cushion that co-ordinate with this needlepoint rug. |
