Description:This design is a modern interpretation of a framed sampler o­n display at Wordsworth House, Cockermouth. The original was sewn by Alice Sedgwick in 1830. It incorporates many of the symbols and motifs typically found o­n samplers of this period and makes an interesting project for stitchers of all levels of experience.
