| Description: | This design was inspired by the Florentine mosaic or pietra dura which faces a magnificent cabinet in the Spanish room at Kingston Lacy, Dorset, UK. The holly and snowdrops motif appears on one of the panels representing The Four Seasons. The intricate dedications of fruit and flowers were designed by William Bankes and created from semiprecious stones by the Buoninsegni brothers who were contracted in 1850 to provide the designs.
