Description:This design is inspired by the fine show of daffodils to be seen at Stourhead in the Spring. Stourhead Garden was laid out in the eighteenth century, with lakes and temples, rare trees and plants. King Alfred's Tower, a red brick folly built in 1772 by Flitcroft at the edge of the Estate is 160 feet high giving fine views over the neighbouring counties of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. This is part of the National Trust Cross Stitch Collection
