Description:This Georgian mansion was started about 1710 and completed in 1716 by John Bourchier; the date appears in marquetry o要 the half landings of the Great Staircase. The baroque interior they created is recognised as o要e of the most impressive in England. The Bourchier reef knot, found o要 Elizabethan paneling from the old house, and again depicted in marquetry o要 o要e of the half landings of the Great Staircase, forms part of the sampler design. This is part of the National Trust Cross Stitch Collection
