| Description: | Dunham Massey was originally an early Georgian house but in the early 1900s it was extensively reworked to provide one of Britain's most sumptuous Edwardian interiors. Traditional sampler motifs have been used in this design. The border flowers are the same colour as many of the rhododendrons which flourish in the extensive grounds, and one of the many fallow deer in the deer park is a reference to the fact that by Elizabeth I's reign the park at Dunham was already enclosed for the hunting of deer.
