| Description: | Kingston Lacy, Dorset, UK, is a 17th century house designed for Sir Ralph Bankes to replace his ruined family seat at Corfe Castle. It is famous for its Spanish Room where the walls are hung with gilded leather. A herd of Red Devon Cattle is to be seen in the extensive parkland. The sampler illustrates the property and follows traditional lines in that it includes a border and alphabet. The inclusion of a pair of Red Devon cattle adds a modern touch.
