Payment

Tax

All our prices are shown both exclusive and inclusive of Tax.  This Tax is VAT, the sales tax that applies to customers within the European Union (EU).  If you are buying from outside the EU you will not be charged this tax.  You will also not be charged this tax if you are buying from the Channel Islands.

Currency

You can choose to view our prices in a range of currencies via the drop down in the top right hand corner.  If the currency you would like to see our prices in is not there, please let us know and we will add it for you. The exchange rates used are based on the exchange rates quote by www.xe.com and are changed regularly.  They are purely indicative.  All sales are made in GB Sterling and the exchange rate used will be that used by your card company.

Security

Card payments are handled by RBS WorldPay, one of the leading and most trusted processors of on-line payments.  Unless you choose to pay off-line, we will not see your card details at any stage.
Ordering and Paying for your Order

You can order on line, by phone or by post.  If you order on-line you can choose to pay on-line or off-line.
Methods of Payment

You can pay on-line or off-line.

On-line we accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro and Amex.
Off-line we accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro, GB Sterling cheques or GB Sterling Postal Orders made out to Sew Exciting, or Sterling transfers direct to our account.
Off-line payments can be phoned through on +44(0) 20 3068 0068 or sent to 17 Vine Road, East Molesey, Surrey, KT8 9LF.

Delivery

How will my Order be Sent?

Within the UK you can choose from 1st or 2nd class post.  Second Class post is free on orders over £40 (inc VAT).

From anywhere else in the world we use Airmail.  If you have signed in, you can view your basket to see the shipping costs to your main address.

If your order involves items from a number of different, these may be sent separately.

When will be Order be Sent?

Orders for Emily Peacock designs will now not be dispatched until after Christmas.

How quickly your order will be dispatched will depend on what you have ordered.  The table below shows how quickly (in business days) your goods will be dispatched.  You will need to allow for the postage time on top of this.

Occaisionally an item may be out of stock.  If this is the case we will hold it on back order for you and will fulfil it as soon as possible.  Your order will be updated to show it is on back order.

How Long does the Post Normally Take?

This will depend on the shipping option you have chosen and cannot be guaranteed by Sew Exciting.  However, based on our experience we would expect the following postage times:

UK:  1st class is usually next working day; 2nd class can take 3-5 working days
Western Europe: Airmail is 3-5 working days
Eastern Europe: 4-7 working days
Rest of the World: 5 – 8 working days. Some (but not all) packages to the USA are taking an additional 2-4 weeks to arrive due to the increased security imposed by the United States Department of Homeland security on packages carried on passenger airlines.

Can I Track my Order?

You can track the status of your via your on-line account.

When an item is shipped we will enter the date it was dispatched on line.

You will receive an automated e-mail when the status of the order changes.  The status of an order can be as follows:

    * Pending - We have received your order, thank you.
    * Confirmed and Payment Received - We are processing your order.
    * Part-Shipped - We have already dispatched some items, the remaining items will follow as soon as possible.
    * Completed - All items required have been dispatched.

Returns for standard items

Kits - If, for whatever reason, you decide not to proceed with an order, please let us know within 7 days from the date you receive the items that you wish to return.   As long as it is returned as new, we will refund the value of the purchase (less shipping).

Chart Packs - Due to the ease of copying, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on Chart Packs.

Returns for Personalised Items

Where the item has been personalised for you (e.g. change of colour), a refund will only be offered at our discretion.
