Appleton Crewel 2ply Wool - Hanks
Appleton wools has been made for over 150 years and were used by Wm Morris. It comes in tapestry (4ply) and crewel wool (2ply). Crewel wool is excellent for shading as you can mix the colours in your needle. Each hank of crewel wool is approximately 180 yards and weighs approximately 25 grams. There are 6 skeins to a hank.
